Colorado Winter Wheat 95 Percent Emerged, 52 Percent Good to Excellent Condition

In the October 31, 2011 Crop Progress Report, the USDA NASS estimated the Colorado 2012 Winter Wheat crop at 95 percent emerged, compared with 83 percent last week, 91 percent last year at this time, and the five-year average of 93 percent.

This is the first week of quality ratings from the USDA. No Colorado winter wheat was rated very poor, five percent was rated poor, 43 percent was rated fair, 45 percent was rated good, and seven percent was rated excellent.
