Colorado Winter Wheat 80 Percent Planted

In the October 9, 2012 Crop Progress Report, the USDA estimated the Colorado 2013 Winter Wheat crop at 80 percent planted, behind last year at this time (92 percent) and on pace with the five-year average of 89 percent. Last week, wheat was 62 percent planted.

USDA estimates the 2013 crop is 36 percent emerged, compared with 20 percent last week and 54 percent last year. The 5-year average is 57 percent emerged.
