Colo. Winter Wheat 77% Emerged, 76% Fair to Good Condition

In the October 31, 2012 Crop Progress Report, (issued late because of Hurricane Sandy) USDA NASS estimated the Colorado 2013 Winter Wheat crop at 77 percent emerged, compared with 66 percent last week, 92 percent last year at this time, and the five-year average of 91 percent.

This was the first week for crop condition ratings for the U.S., but Colorado released their first crop condition ratings last week. Six percent of Colorado winter wheat was rated very poor, 20 percent was rated poor, 41 percent was rated fair, 33 percent was rated good, and one percent was rated excellent.
