May 11, 2015: U.S. and Colorado Crop Condition Report

AGRICULTURAL SUMMARY: Crucial precipitation was received last week, covering vast territories throughout Colorado. Althoughfieldwork and crop growth were limited, reports indicate pasture and cropland conditions improved significantly in addition to soil moisture supplies. The San Luis Valley did not receive as significant moisture as the other areas, according to reporters. Stored feed supplies were rated 2 percent very short, 6 percent short, 83 percent adequate, and 9 percent surplus. Sheep death loss was 70 percent average and 30 percent light. Cattle death loss was 1 percent heavy, 83 percent average, and 16 percent light.
