CROP PROGRESS AND CONDITION
WEEK ENDING JULY 5, 2015

AGRICULTURAL SUMMARY: Mostly dry conditions allowed producers to continue shifting focus on fieldwork. Progress in the harvest of winter wheat was significant last week. Isolated precipitation events occurred in all districts, with some locally heavy accumulation observed. However, manageable amounts were observed in most localities. As summer temperatures continue to ascend, dry patches have begun to emerge in the eastern districts. Stored feed supplies were rated 1 percent very short, 3 percent short, 83 percent adequate, and 13 percent surplus. Sheep death loss was rated 64 percent average
and 36 percent light. Cattle death loss was rated 1 percent heavy, 74 percent average, and 25 percent light.
