Colorado Wheat Outlook Report – June 5

Crop condition declined one more point last week, down to 31% in the Good-Excellent categories. Wheat is starting to turn color in the Southeast, with 67% of the crop headed and 4% turning color (right on 5-year average). The weather we’re in the middle of right now is detrimental to the crop as it tries to flower and begin grain fill, with hot temps, no rain, and wind forecast over the weekend and into Monday.
