Colorado Wheat Outlook Report – April 17, 2026

Conditions remain largely unchanged from last week. Temperatures continued to be above average, the wind continued to blow, and no substantial moisture was received. The crop is running about two to three weeks ahead of normal, considering we think just over half of it is already jointed. Temperatures are predicted to drop into the mid-to-low 20s for most of Eastern Colorado late tonight and into tomorrow morning. Potential freeze damage is definitely a concern.
