Colorado Wheat Outlook Report – May 8, 2026

This week brought some more, much-needed precipitation. Locations in Eastern Colorado saw anywhere from 0.20 in. to 1 in. (according to CoCoRahs). Tuesday and Wednesday were cold, with some areas dropping below 32 degrees. The concern for freeze damage remains, but the freeze does not appear to be as widespread as initially predicted. While the precipitation is welcome, it turned out to be not as much as what the forecast called for. It once again bought a portion of the crop some more time.
