Winter Wheat Farmer Partner Needed for Colorado Department of Agriculture Biofuel R&D Grant

The farmer partner will plant 10 acres of fiber hemp, harvest with a forage chopper, and put into a silage bag with our special advanced inoculants. The following year, the farmer will use their loader to help handle the finished silage. The Farmer will be paid $60,000 to participate, with a significant deposit before planting, so the farmer has no risk. The hemp rotation is also being studied as a weed control measure. Planting of the hemp is after wheat harvest and hemp harvest is just before wheat planting. No till would be preferred. Contact- Bill Althouse, The Carbon Economy Series, 501c3, 720-454-7213
